Who is the client?
Rabobank is an international, cooperative bank, founded in the Netherlands with worldwide local operations. The bank focuses on international business and rural activities, in general, with particular focus on the food and agribusiness sector.
What was their business challenge?
Rabobank had a pressing need to adapt to new ways of business if they want to build future-focused operations. In this interview, Alexander Zwart, Head of Digital Transformation & Tribe Lead, at Rabobank said
“The future lies in being a digital-first company. Besides the immediate payoffs, we believe a digital transformation strategy will pay off significantly in the years to come”.
In this context, Rabobank had a hard deadline to move off their old digital experience platform that was rapidly approaching end of life. They had selected the Backbase Engagement Banking Platform and asked Digizoo to help drive the implementation, integration, and migration effort.
What did we deliver?
Digizoo was engaged to provide the expertise that formed the backbone of a new combined team to build the essential banking platform for Rabobank’s ‘Future-tech Transformation Program’.
We provided senior solution architects, front-end developers, DevOps specialists, UX designers, and product researchers to help to recruit and establish modern ways of working for the insourced digital transformation team.
What were the business outcomes?
The combined team bonded very quickly and developed a very respectful and collaborative environment where everyone was very proud of their own work, as well as those of their teammates.
Digizoo used its considerable Backbase knowledge and worked alongside Rabobank’s own local and global Enterprise Architects to:
- formulate the solution design
- establish the necessary methodologies, frameworks and foundations
This then allowed the combined team to deliver the all-new digital banking platform, internet banking, and mobile apps in a very short time period of time.
Digizoo also helped support team cohesion and development. Career paths were set, new capabilities were learned, and team engagement and morale were at the highest levels of satisfaction, despite the intense workload and environmental challenges.
